Bo Bice is my absolute favorite singer. I have been a fan since his run on American Idol, Season 4. I was inspired to paint on these shoes, but it took me a while to decide what to paint on them. Once I thought of who to paint, I knew it had to be done.

I was inspired to paint on shoes when I first came across Edward ScissorShoes:

It is really awesome!

I used acrylic paint on this. It took me 2 or 3 days off and on to paint the shoes, but I think it was well worth my time. This is one of the first serious portrait paintings I have ever done.. I never paint.

This was the first time using my own paint and I had to open the seals on all of it. What a pain, haha.
I think I did a good job on them regardless of my little experience with paint.

I'm very happy with how they turned out.

It was more difficult than I figured it would be, and the most difficult part was overcoming the curve of the shoe.

haha, Bo is also my favorite singer. I think he's awesome

I don't think I could sale these but I appreciate it, haha.

I might make another pair someday and see how it goes and I might sell those.

i want to paint my shoes noooooooooow!!!!!!! but sadly i can't paint

it's so realistic it really does look like you just stick the photo onto your shoes. i'm gonna do that if my painting ruined the shoe

haha, I never paint either.

I always say I can't paint, and I still can't as well as my drawing ability, but I was determined to do a good job with those shoes.
I got a really tiny paint brush and used it pretty much just like a pencil

It was so difficult to paint his eyes. I thought I was going to ruin the shoe, but I spent ages and came up with this.

You should try it still though

It'd be neat to see some more painted shoes!

I wish I could but i'll probably chicken out and use markers instead

i'm thinking of doing one to my bag but i never got around to it but after seeing your shoes i'm gonna find something to put on it

how do you make the paint not fade away? if i did paint my shoes i'll never wear it

if you wore them I'd probably recommend using markers instead. These shoes were my first time and I'm still working out the kinks in order to wear them. I don't think I'll be able to wear this pair in particular, but maybe another pair.
I wore this pair like a day, and the paint started cracking just slightly, and I don't know how to really fix it so they're wearable. D: They aren't like bad cracks, but they're enough for me to notice and worry about, even if others wouldn't notice. I had to look really close to see the cracks, but if it's through a face I spent a lot of time working on, I figure it's best not to make it any worse.

Since markers wouldn't cause cracking, it'd be nice to use them if they're worn.

So, if you plan on not wearing them and just using them to show, paint would be awesome.

oh maybe i can do that to shoes that won't fit me anymore

but yeah i'll probably use markers

do you use any special sprays to keep the thing from fading?
